Baby Steps

Today, for the first time since Gemma was born, I showered and got ready while Luke was out working!  {and there was no crying from the wee ones!}

This doesn't mean I have gone days weeks without showering for the past month {although, let's be honest, showers are totally overrated for Moms of newborns}.  I have just been blessed with Luke being able to work from home so much this winter.  For the past couple of weeks I have seriously been wondering how I am going to be able to do it when he is not home for part of the day, so this morning was quite encouraging for me.  I think we are getting into a groove!

Gemma is rocking out a 1 1/2 hour nap, while Augustine jams out on his harmonica and drums in his room next door to hers.  Something tells me Gemma is going to be a much sounder sleeper than Augustine is...

And I am writing a blog...in the middle of the morning...while my toddler is awake.
